Electrolux 36'' Electric Cooktop

We purchased all new electrolux appliances for our new kitchen. Everything was installed just prior to Christmas 2016. So far we have had no problems with the refigerator, freezer, double ovens (however I was told just don't set the timer or there may be a lockup) or microwave. We were told we were getting top of the line appliances. This cooktop goes into an error mode continually, which means I have to go to the basement and flip the breaker to reset the cooktop. There is not an evident trigger for this. It can happen by just turning on the power or during cleaning (in the locked and unlocked mode), while cooking. We began keeping a log for each incident...it happened so many times it got tiring to keep. Finally it just locked up and nothing would work. We had a repair person out they determined we needed a new touch control, so it was ordered, then it was on backorder and when it arrived it was the wrong part. So it was re-ordered, was on backorder then we were told the part isn't available any more. Electrolux replaced the whole cooktop which took us into April 2017. (All this time with no cooktop) After a few hassles with delivery and installation, we had our new cooktop. It immediately began with the same exact problem that the previous cooktop had. We were told that there was no longer a repair part for this cooktop. They have now agreed to refund our money. So, now I am in the process of finding a cooktop that will fit into my granite countertop..uhg! and will have the added expense of paying for the installation (again) of a new cooktop. It is now May 30 2017 and we have been without a cooking appliance since Christmas 2016. Do not buy this cooktop!!! Save yourself the anguish!!!

This is the best cooktop I have ever owned. It cooks evenly and gives precision temperature control. Clean up is quick and easy with cooktop cleaner. And it is just beautiful!

Easy to use. Slick and clean. Easy cleanup and looks great! Many options and high quality.

I love the stove. Hate that when you splace something on top or clean it the tomer starts beeping and you can't get it to stop.

From day one we loved this cook top. From day one it also started to give us error codes and turn off while cooking. We are still working with the manufactures warrandy to replace the defective parts....hopefully it works.
