Beautiful frigidair! Ease of use of drawers and sliding shelves, this item is also extremely quiet, which we enjoy!

I bought my fridge in 2013 thinking I was getting a top-of-the-line, quality product. From day one, we had some big issues. On the small side, the handles came scratched. Kitchenaid kindly sent replacement, but due to poor packaging, it took 4 shipments to get one that even looked new. Then on to the mechanics. The inner workings for the fridge and freezer have been repaired at least 5 times. From the ice maker to the condenser, its all been an issue. And don't even get me started on the ever-increasing cost of the water filters. Now, at the 4 year mark, the stainless steel is getting tiny little rust spots, the ice maker (which we refer to as the "home invasion ice maker" because it's so loud) occasionally just spits a random ice cube onto the floor from the giant block of ice it has created in the bin, the plastic on the upper fridge door hinge is breaking when the door opens completely, the drawer fronts have broken off too many times to count, and it is SUPER LOUD when it kicks on. I bought a complete appliance package and only the microwave that I don't really use is holding up. I just wanted a fridge that worked and would last awhile, so I shelled some extra money. Where has the quality gone Kitchenaid?

All three drawer fronts fell off. I have all kinds of tape failing to hold them together. I am past the warranty point and replacing them is crazy expensive. I have always recommended and bought Kitchen Aid appliances, so this was especially disappointing. Model # KSF26C4XYY01, Serial # HR13913298

Great Fridge - Flimsy Drawers

The fridge and its features are perfect for our needs. Unfortunately after 2 years of owning it 3 of the five drawers have completely fallen apart. Since this happened outside of the warranty window, customer support would not replace them. The drawers are quite flimsy and after normal everyday use by my family of three the front of these three drawers just pulled right off. There is no way to re-attach them because the assembly is held together by very small plastic tabs that basically disintegrated. The drawers are about $80 a piece so we have had to make do with large unusable gaps in the fridge while we wait for the pricey replacements. Aside from the flimsy drawers though the unit is quite nice and meets all of our needs. However I can't recommend it to anyone knowing that they might have to shell out $250 dollars 2 years down the road.
