Electrolux Electrolux 24" Under-Counter Wine Cooler

This is my third Electrolux wine fridge; the first two are in my old home. Before purchasing my old units I conducted extensive research and settled on Electrolux; the first one was so good I purchased another. The look, the quality, the silent operation, and love the walnut shelving.... classic touch. I am a fan of the Electrolux wind fridge as it is 100% belt fed awesome.

Gorgeous, high quality, large capacity and quiet. It's a beautiful addition to our new kitchen.

We have three of these little wine refrigerators in a new construction build. Two of the three stopped cooling after about six months. The third kept going. After waiting six weeks for parts to repair two of three, one stopped working after another 8 months and the third guy just went out. When I called I was told that "refrigerators are not guaranteed to cool after the first year..."What? Seriously? Refrigerators that cost almost $2,000 ($6k total) aren't guaranteed to work after a year. Price to come out and diagnose the problem is $114 EACH. Parts and labor are not included, but Electrolux said they'd give us "50% off parts due to the inconvenience."Thinking back to my time in the USMC, I'm reminded that barracks refrigerators lasted forever and never went out. We would have been better off buying three of those and just building cabinets around them. Electrolux was the worst mistake we made -- so much so that we're slowly correcting it around the house.Until then: do not buy these. They're owned by the same company that makes $700 wine refrigerators - might as well buy those. They'll probably cool longer.

Bought in December 21 (delivered Jan 22), warranty ran out January 23, compressor died late April 23. Repair man said the new one is approximately $750, would have loved to have more than 15 months of use out of a $2000 wine fridge.
