Unlike a regular electric stove top, the temperatures can be adjusted very easily and the response is immediate. Itâs easy to clean since spills can be wiped up immediately.

Although this induction cooktop has only been installed a few weeks and has not been put through a full-blown âThanksgiving Cook-a-Thonâ yet, I have used it enough to know that I made a great choice. When remodeling our kitchen I knew I wanted an induction unit and scoured sources for a mid-price unit with features like power boil, timer, warming mode, etc. This particular unit fills all of my criteria and more. It boils so quickly you dare not step away for more than a minute or two. Cooks evenly and with much less heat than my older glass cooktop. Cleans up easily as well. A little bit of soap and water on a Swedish dish cloth and a good drying with a microfiber towel is all it has taken so far. We are extremely pleased with this product.

So Much Better Than Gas

Purchasing this cooktop is one of the best decisions we've made. It is so much cooler to cook with an induction cooktop versus gas. And the pots and pan handles stay much cooler. Often, no hot pads are needed to pick up a pot or pan. Using the Power Boil setting will bring water to boil in seconds and a rapid boil in under four minutes for a quart-and-a-half pot of water. Clean up is also a snap. We also purchased silicon protection mats to prevent scratches.
Locked Out and Useless

This is the worst experience I have had with a product and the ensuing "warranty" and "customer support" process in my life. The "Lock" button on my stove never worked correctly which meant the stove was impossible to turn on reliably. I submitted a service ticket 6 weeks ago (after owning the device for 8 weeks) and have now had 4 technician visits to âfixâ the device. The technicians have told me the device is unrepairable but they are unable to put that in their notes. Frigidaire refuses to replace the stovetop and instead keeps sending new technicians out with the same part to swap the part. I've now had 3 control panels but 0 working cooktops. It's unacceptable that this process has been this painful and I've been left with a completely useless device for so long. Frigidaire should not be trusted to provide products or service on those products by any consumer or retailer. This will be escalated to the BBB. The only good news is that the broken cooktop provides a nice flat surface for the very cheap induction burner we had to purchase in order to cook food.
