Frigidaire Gallery 19 Cu. Ft. Single-Door Refrigerator

I got both the Refrigerator and the Freezer from a friend of mine that had a lot of water damage from Hurricane Laura & Delta... Plugged them in after each and they worked wonderfully with Hurricane Laura winds of 150+ miles an hour then Delta 110+ winds... I was amazed that I didn't have to call a repair technician...

Really love this fridge and freezer set. We remodeled our kitchen and built the fridge freezer for this set. Having a single unit side by side it is nice to have the full width of fridge or freezer. There is plenty of space and the organization arrangement options are nice. They are and a bit shallower than a standard fridge/freezer single unit combo but that is good because everything is easily accessible and visible when you open the door. I hope they engineered them to last because of cost and most importantly they are a large focal point of our new kitchen!

I purchased this unit a month ago and I am very happy ! There is a feature that allows you to turn off the light inside the unit, this is very helpful. The storage drawers are are arranged well and there is great space on the door.The only thing I would change are the bins on the door, would have liked them to be higher in the front, when I open the door (sometimes the the suction is tight) and the jars or containers wiggle around, worried something will fall out).Overall very happy!!!

We live in a new subdivision- many of the houses installed this refrigerators/freezer combo. 5 of our neighbors that we know of have had this unit fail within 15 months. Ours unfortunately took 3 years to fail from a coolant leak. The coolant coil is integrated with the unit, so there is no option to repair, only to replace. So, not only is this unit twice as expensive as a regular refrigerator, it doesn't last, and cannot be repaired. I hesitate to purchase a replacement to fit in our space because of the issues noted here, and as of today, the customer help line provided no real solution other than "a new unit is coming out next month". Not happy with the longevity of this unit for the price that was paid, and can't see purchasing a replacement with what looks like a 5% full up failure rate.

We installed this with adjacent freezer at the end of 2016. Immediately the fridge stopped working. It was repaired under warranty and after 2 years it has already failed again. The repair guy said the original warranty repair was done poorly and now it's leaking freon and he thinks we need a new coil, which is super expensive. But we are worried that the computer and/or thermometer is bad because even after a quick freon recharge while we're waiting for the coil to come in it still keeps intermittently jumping up to 58 degrees and the compressor won't turn on. Suuuuuper frustrated. Lots of food spoiled....more than once!
