Total Lemon - Electrolux washer model EIFLS60LT

A total lemon. I bought it in May 2015, problems started in October 2015. Electrolux customer service has been no help. I’ve had a list of issues. A few examples are below.1) Tub does not turn – The screw holding the pulley loosened and the drive belt came off. The repairman put the screw back in and the drive belt on. Two weeks later the same issue. The repairman put something on the screw he said would keep it from loosening again but a few weeks later it came out again. I’ve personally put it back in 5 times myself because I don’t have time to miss work to wait on service people.2) Very noisy – sometimes reasonably quiet, other times very loud3) Water leaking from the bottom due to the drain pump leaking – drain pump replaced4) Clothes are very wet at the end of wash cycle and take extra-long dry time.5) Water leaking from the bottom again!6) November 2019 – I’m done. Buying a new washer and dyer that’s not an Electrolux

Efficient, effective, low water consumption and relatively quiet. Lacks a dedicated spin-only cycle which I find useful. Otherwise, no complaints.

Great machine until I needed service

I have had this machine for 3.5 years now. I chose it as it is relatively quiet. I have been very happy with the machine until I had an issue a few weeks ago. I was very disappointed with the service help and the preferred service provider who came to the house, stayed for 2 hours, did not seem familiar with the machine and left without fixing. My follow up to the service center was not successful either. Summary: great machine until there is an issue.

Don't waste your money!

Purchased this washer and the matching dryer 3.5 years ago. Washer malfunctioned and all the water drained onto the floor. Had Electrolux out to service it. The service guy was great, but the cost to repair the washer was $550 or more and parts only had a 60-day warranty! So off to the appliance store I went. I realize "they don't make things like they use to," but a life of 3.5 years on a machine that cost $1,100. is absolutly ridiculous! Had to make repairs on dryer too! I Do not recommend these machines or the Electrolux brand... maybe they should stick to vacuums!

We bought this washer about a month ago to match the dryer we already had. What a great purchase! Laundry time is cut in half... the clean is supreme and drying takes no time at all.
